We welcome you to take a tour of seven Bowdoinham gardens. Several of them are traditional and others . . . not so much! Your tour through Bowdoinham will showcase gorgeous locations, historic homes and fun-loving lawn art. We will treat you to stunning riverside vistas and in-town homes with remarkable hardscaping. From giant cement dinosaurs, to Hügelkultur Raised beds . . . it’s Not Your Mother’s Garden Tour.
In addition to the visual feast of our seven gardens, we are offering a pizza buffet. Located alongside “Peary’s Garden” (Bowdoinham’s community garden) is a brick oven built by Brain Smith called “Forno del Geometra”. Brian and his crew will offer vegetarian and meat-lover’s pizza straight from the oven beginning at 11 am and extending to 3pm. (We are unable to provide a gluten-free option). For $10 you can enjoy multiple slices of pizza, a baked dessert, and lemonade. No reservations needed. Just arrive between 11am and 3pm. Cash, cards and venmo accepted.
All proceeds go to support the Bowdoinham Public Library. This is a rain or shine event from 10am-3pm on July 13th. Online tickets are available until midnight on July 12. We welcome children but please, no pets. Begin your tour at the Bowdoinham Farmer’s Market at the waterfront anytime after 9:30 am. You’ll pick up your tour map and head out to the 7 gardens.
$25 in advance, $35 on the day of the tour
